Opinion Exchange: overview

What is Opinion Exchange?

Opinion Exchange is open to anyone to share their thoughts on a variety of topics through features such as online surveys and polls through to telephone surveys, product testing, and focus group participation. Your opinions will help to shape the products and services offered by our clients, and on most occasions, you will get paid for taking part in the research. Incentives earned are redeemable via PayPal.

Can anyone join Opinion Exchange?

Yes! We're keen to hear from anyone based in the UK who has an opinion. To participate, you need to be 16 years old or over.

How do I join Opinion Exchange?

To join, simply click Sign up. Once registered and after confirming your email address, please log in and proceed to complete the profiling survey located under the "Profile" tab. Providing us with more information about you increases the likelihood of being contacted for future research tasks.

Rest assured, all details collected will be used strictly for legitimate market research purposes and not for sales or marketing. Upon completing the profiling survey, you'll be fully registered and eligible to participate in our research projects.

We'll notify you via email whenever a relevant survey becomes available for completion. Alternatively, you can check the "Surveys" section of the site to view any outstanding invitations you may have.

Is registration free?

Absolutely! Participation doesn't cost anything at all. In fact, Opinion Exchange provides incentives for most research tasks.

Can I create more than one account?

We're afraid not. We reward our members for taking part in surveys, but we ask our members to be honest. Our systems identify multiple account entries and prevent multiple participation in surveys. We also undertake quality checks of completed surveys before allocating rewards. Members who do not abide by these basic and simple rules risk having their accounts deleted, and forfeiting being paid. People who join Opinion Exchange must accept these terms and conditions when they join.

Participating in paid research opportunities

How often will I receive research opportunities?

Opportunities to participate may vary, but we strive to provide you with as many research opportunities as possible. Please ensure your Profile information is up to date by logging into your account and accessing the "Profile" tab. The more up-to-date information we have in your profile, the more opportunities we can hopefully send your way.

What types of research opportunities may be available to me?

You may have access to a variety of research opportunities, including online surveys, telephone interviews, online and offline focus groups, one-on-one interviews, product testing, and more. The possibilities are diverse, ensuring there's something suitable for everyone's preferences and interests. Each approach includes a different incentive – some focus groups can be up to £150.00 for attending!

What type of topics will be covered?

We cover the full range of industries, meaning surveys could be about anything from clothing or retail, to snacking, saving, sport and exercise or politics! Many of our surveys are open to all members, although in some cases we may only wish to speak to specific groups – such as Teachers or Nurses for instance – so make sure you keep your profile up to date to ensure you get all the invitations that are relevant to you!

Do I have to participate in every research opportunity?

Participation in research opportunities is entirely voluntary. You are not obligated to participate in every opportunity that comes your way. You have the freedom to choose which research tasks you'd like to engage in based on your availability, interests, and preferences.

How can I participate in more research opportunities?

You will only be able to participate in research opportunities when you are invited, but we will make every effort to invite you as regularly as possible. Keeping your profile up to date ensures we have accurate information to better target invitations to research opportunities. Additionally, from time to time, we may send you reminders via email to review and update certain information we have on file, such as your address or employment status, to ensure it remains accurate.

Incentives & rewards

How do I earn rewards?

Almost all research tasks, such as surveys, focus groups, interviews, and others, are incentivised. The incentive for each task will be clearly displayed on the survey invitation email. Moreover, you can view your total rewards earned to date in your Opinion Exchange profile when logged in. Please note that all incentives are redeemable via PayPal.

Why is my incentive not shown in my Opinion Exchange account?

If your incentive is not showing in your Opinion Exchange account, please note that we always strive to process incentives as promptly as possible. However, it may take up to 10 working days for them to appear in your account. If this time has passed and you still don't see your incentive, please don't hesitate to contact us via the ‘Contact us’ page. We'll be happy to assist you further.
